Gap Launches Limited-Edition Collection With GQ
Gap launches a limited-edition collection of GQ's Coolest Designers on the Planet. This iteration is Balmain, Dsquared2, MSGM, No Vacancy Inn, Officine Générale, Opening Ceremony, Stampd, and Surf is Dead reworking the classic Gap sweatshirt.
Seven hoodies and one crew neck from eight designers. Each combines their own logo with the Gap logo using custom color palettes, graphics, figurations, distressed edges, and zip-ups. The designs range through American stars and stripes, neon pink graphics, double-layer hoods, vivid renewals, and nostalgic reboots.
John Caruso of Gap said: 'This year, we took a fresh approach to our GQ for Gap collaboration. Our Gap hoodie and crew neck sweatshirts are iconic American staples that have appeared in countless ad campaigns and editorials. We are so excited to show our customers how each designer re-invents this classic.'
Jim Nelson of GQ said: 'This year's collection spotlights the iconic Gap sweatshirt, with collaborations from menswear's most exciting names. The best of the Coolest Designers on the Planet program and the global influence of menswear in the thing we all want to wear: a classic sweatshirt.'
