Nordstrom Local Expands In LA

Nordstrom revealed Nordstrom Local Brentwood (214 26th Street) will open its doors on September 28th and Nordstrom Local Downtown Los Angeles (The Bloc, 750 West 7th Street, Suite S200) will open on October 12th. Both stores bring singular services and design aesthetics to match the needs of nearby customers.

Nordstrom opened its first Nordstrom Local on Melrose in Los Angeles in October 2017. These community hubs afford patrons the chance to shop and tap into Nordstrom services in an agreeable central location. The launch of these two added locales is a further wedge of Nordstrom's local approach. The company blends the scope of its national foundations with the local resources of people, products, and place to reinterpret the customer shopping experience.

Nordstrom is also introducing a new feature called 'Get It Fast' on nordstrom.com and the mobile app for customers in eligible Los Angeles zip codes. Get It Fast delivers customers a concurrent view of inventory available no later than the next day. They can choose a nearby Nordstrom Local or Nordstrom location to pick up their purchase or opt for free next day shipping to their home.

'Los Angeles is one of our most highly-engaged markets, with four million active customers', said Jamie Nordstrom, president of stores. 'Our customers have told us they want to shop where, how, and when they choose. One of our goals with Nordstrom Local is to help give them with a seamless and convenient experience, bringing services like the in-store pick up of online orders, alterations, personal styling, and more right to their neighborhood.'

Like the setting on Melrose, customers in Nordstrom Local Brentwood and Downtown hubs can enjoy talks with personal stylists, Buy Online & Pick-up in Store, alterations, curbside pickup, fast and easy returns from nordstrom.com and other online third-party retailers, Trunk Club services, refreshments, and elevated gift wrapping in partnership with Paper Source. Both locations are furnished by Anthropologie Home, who is working with Nordstrom to outfit the stores with the finest home goods and accessories. Each Nordstrom Local also offers dry cleaning services from a Los Angeles area dry cleaner.

The design of the 1,200-square-foot Brentwood store focuses on styling and alterations. The ambiance is feminine with copper lighting pendants, curved furniture, soft lights, white walls, and wood accents. In the daytime, the space is suffused with natural light.

The 2,300-square-foot downtown Los Angeles store offers shoe repair services from online cobbler Shoeber, carry-out meals from Everytable, and barber services from Baxter of California. The store's architecture reflects the unique energy of DTLA with open ceilings, exposed ducts, deeply saturated colors, woven wall art, and hand-crafted wooden accented furniture.
