Gallo finished a beautiful renovation of the Louis M. Martini winery in Saint Helena in late March.
Michael McGrew of Constellation said: ‘This move will help us drive to focus on a smaller set of premium, high-growth brands that have gained significant momentum in the marketplace. These brands align with consumer premiumization trends, as they continue to shift to higher-end, higher-quality products like The Prisoner, Cooper & Thief, Kim Crawford, Meiomi, Ruffino, Schrader Cellars, High West Whiskey, Casa Noble, and Svedka Vodka. We are excited about our remaining portfolio of brands and the growth opportunities they present going forward.'
Joseph E. Gallo said: ‘We are committed to remaining a family-owned company focused on growing the wine industry. While we continue to invest in our premium and luxury businesses, we see a tremendous opportunity with this acquisition to bring new consumers into the wine category. We will continue to offer our customers and consumers quality products at every price point.’
